Friday's Sports in Brief
JOHNS CREEK, Ga. (AP) - Once identified by either his No. 1 ranking or his 14 majors, Tiger Woods missed the cut at the PGA Championship at Atlanta Athletic Club with a performance that was even more shocking because of the numbers he compiled.
He hit into 22 bunkers. He put four balls in the water. His five double bogeys were the most he ever made in one tournament.
With one final bogey for a 3-over 73, Woods finished out of the top 100 for the first time ever in a major. He was 15 shots behind Jason Dufner, who has never won a PGA Tour event, and Keegan Bradley, playing in his first major.
Dufner, who hasn't made a cut since the last week in May, holed a 25-foot eagle putt on the fifth hole and threw in five birdies for a 5-under 65 that put him atop the leaderboard for the first time in a major. Bradley, a tour rookie and the nephew of LPGA great Pat Bradley, did even better with a bogey-free round of 64.
BASKETBALL
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Thanking his coaches and apologizing to his family for his shortcomings, Dennis Rodman was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Choking up often during an emotional speech, Rodman said his regret was not being a better father, and praised his coaches for being a father to him, after his own father left when he was a child and he never had a relationship with afterward.
The enshrinement of the flamboyant five-time champion capped the enshrinement of the 10-member class of 2011. Chris Mullin, the two-time Olympic gold medalist, opened the night as the other headliner.
Rodman thanked Commissioner David Stern and the NBA community "to even just have me in the building'' and saved his deepest appreciation for coaches Phil Jackson and Chuck Daly, Lakers owner Jerry Buss, and James Rich, whose family took Rodman in after his mother threw him out of the house.
TENNIS
TORONTO (AP) - Serena Williams took another step on her comeback injury and illness, fighting off another determined opponent at the Rogers Cup.
The 29-year-old American booked her spot in the semifinals with a hard-fought 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory over Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic.
The match stretched 2 hours, 4 four minutes a night after Williams had to battle back from a set deficit to beat China's Zheng Jie, also a two-plus hour match.
Tenth-seeded Samantha Stosur of Australia will meet 13th-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland in the other semifinal. Stosur downed Italy's Roberta Vinci 6-4, 6-1, and Radwanska defeated No. 11 Andrea Petkovic of Germany 6-4, 6-3.

The Police Tour 2007 – What Songs Will They Play? | Buy Discount ...
Most dates have already sold-out and the tour will likely be the top grossing tour of this year. There was well documented bad blood between the band members who stated that they would never play together again under any circumstances.
It seems though, that the obscene amounts of cash easily available to excellent rock acts willing to take their show on the road again has changed the minds of these three once reluctant participants.
Foo Fighters TicketsThe band has been rehearsing in Vancouver and leaks have revealed many of the tunes getting the majority of attention:
If the setlists from the Rolling Stones tour are used as a benchmark, fans can likely expect roughly 20 of the above songs to be included in any given show. There was some speculation that Sting might weave some of his solo work into the show but that idea has been refuted for the most part.
