On Tuesday, Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream Lab held its Sixth Annual Scholarship Day. All employees who have worked for the shop for at least two summers, will get a portion of the days sales for college. Founder, Greg Steinberger says he's always valued education, and wants to encourage employees to continue their studies.This year, four employees are eligible. "The fact that I have a boss who would really donate a whole day just for us, to help us in school, because he really knows that school is the most important thing for us in getting an education. It's just incredible and I'm so lucky to be a part of it," said Aimee Bowdey, a four-year employee of Doc Burnstein's. Bowdey says she's used the scholarship for books, tuition, and even rent.
