The Crane XR700 Points-to-Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit has an operating voltage from 8 volts to 18 volts with reverse polarity protected and can be used on either positive or negative ground. It is not compatible with 6 volt electrical systems as these may drop below 4 volts during cranking. The coil current limit of this kit is 4.5 ampere and the nternal short circuit protection limit is set at 7 ampere. The RPM is 6000 RPM (RPM range higher for 4 and 6 cylinder engines). Output of the primary voltage is 400 volts (inductive discharge) and output of the primary energy is 60 millijoules with PS20/40 coil. Duration of the spark is 300 microseconds at 6000 RPM.
